Judy D. McGuire

 

Judy D. McGuire, 54, of Fayette, died Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Palmer Lutheran Health Center in West Union.

Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 1, 2013, at the United Methodist Church in Fayette with Rev. Jason Princer officiating.  Inurnment will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Fayette. Visitation will be for one hour preceding services at the church on Thursday. Becker-Milnes Funeral Home in Fayette  is assisting Judy’s family. 

Judy Darlene, daughter of John and Glenola Westendorf Junge, was born September 12, 1958, in Waterloo, Iowa. She graduated from Fayette High School and later earned her C.N.A. certification. On March 8, 1986, she was united in marriage with Donald J. McGuire. A longtime resident of Fayette, Judy has been employed for over twenty years as a C.N.A. at Palmer Lutheran Health Center in West Union. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Fayette and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, reading, and baking.

She is survived by one son, Jacob (Devin Clark) McGuire of Fayette; one daughter, Melissa (Layne Upton) Huston of Waucoma; two grandchildren, Wyatt and Jesse Upton; one sister, Jackie (Dave) Garlow of West Union; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, who died January 13, 2007; her parents; one brother, Thomas Junge; one sister, Ruth Lau; and her stepson, Donald McGuire, Jr.
